Concept One Architecture is an Architecture and Interior Design Practice based in London, and was founded by Polly Bansal in 2019.
Polly has over twenty five years experience working on major architectural projects, and has worked for a number of award winning design practices in London before setting up Concept One Architecture, including AHMM Architects and Andrzej Blonski Architects.
Throughout her career, she has gained a range of experience having worked on jobs of various types and sizes, from one off houses, office refurbishments, larger scale residential and commercial projects, and projects for buildings in the performing arts.
Projects include Barking Riverside, Bristol Old Vic Theatre Complex, and Selfridges International Customer Services Lounge in Oxford Street.
Polly graduated from the Royal College of Art, London in 1999 with a Master degree in Architecture and Interior Design, and she completed her Professional qualifications Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. She has a PGCE and taught for a number of years as a design tutor on the BA Hons Architectural degree courses at both Greenwich University and Kingston University. Currently she is a Teaching Fellow on the Architecture BSC (Hons) course at the School of Art and Design at Coventry University,
Polly is also a qualified Yoga teacher and has been teaching Yoga classes in London for the past 12 years. She has also taught Yoga specifically tailored for combats sports athletes, and has organised Yoga retreats in Ischia, Italy, as well as workshops in London.
Working both as an Architect and Yoga Teacher, she believes that they each have the power to promote wellbeing, mindfulness, and connection between the body and its surroundings in their own unique ways.
Polly is a member of the Architect’s Registration Board (ARB), and follows the professional standards as set out by the regulatory body.
